Gordon Mandry

Educated at Oxford where he obtained a double First, Gordon Mandry started his career in advertising and then worked in a number of industrial roles before joining the Manchester Business School initially as I.B.M. Senior Research Fellow and then as a lecturer. He has been Visiting Professor at Insead, and has taught extensively for I.M.D. and other business schools. He has a Visiting Professorship at Cyprus International Institute of Management as well as being the former Director of the International Business Programme at Manchester Business School. 

Gordon started, and directed for 8 years, the PIMS programme in Europe - a large multi-company research programme designed to isolate the determinants of business profitability. He is currently involved with a wide variety of government and commercial organisations throughout Europe and the UK in the capacity of consultant and lecturer particularly in the areas of strategy and marketing. He has spent considerable time in the oil industry working with both British Petroleum and Shell.

In recent years Gordon has taught on many of the World Academy of Sport programmes and has also delivered several specialist seminars and conference workshops for various International Sporting Federations.
